Location- the location is in London, we know this because we can see Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster in the background. Also we can see some of the River Thames as well.
Costume- the costume is the original Paddington costume, which is a blue coat and red hat. The colours blend together with the snow, because it makes it look like that England is a welcoming place.
Props- the props that are used are the suitcase that Paddington carries around and the train ticket.
Lighting- the lighting is very clear, as we can see every detail in the magazine. We can see that it is night time, because of the street lamp that is shining bright and the little fairy lights attached to it.
Choice of camera shot/angle- the camera angle that is used is a low angle, it almost looks like an eye level angle. But the way Paddington is waving and looking down shows that it is a low angle.
Typography- the font that is used is very bold, the way the magazine chose the phrase 'One of Us' suggests that the magazine is trying to make a statement. We can see that the dots on the 'i's are bear paws, which symbolise Paddington's paws. The colour of the font is very golden, it might symbolise being rich. Also the gold colour blends in well with the blue coat.
Address of written content to the audience- the phrase 'One of Us' might make the audience question the magazine, but then when they read 'Migrant British Icon', they will then know that the magazine is trying to tell the reader that they are part of the Big Issue society and that a migrant is going to be part of the society as well. The Big Issue are trying to suggest that immigration is a positive and I think they show that with the gold writing. The magazine uses intertextual reference, they do this by talking about migration and immigration, and by adding Paddington the Bear.
